Indonesian Organic Community held their annual event Organic, Green, and Healthy (OGH) Expo for the fifth time at Bentara Budaya, Kompas Gramedia, Jakarta on 1-4 October 2015. More than 200 tenants participated in OGH Expo 5 expected to attract no less than 15,000 visitors.

Christopher Emille Jayanata, Chairman of Indonesian Organic Community, said that this event aims to help small and medium enterprises involved in organic product business engaging with more customers. It will create organic culture which inspired the broad theme of this event, “Healthy is Culture”.

“Organic products are often associated with high price and their exclusivity, which is not true. We want to educate the consumers that organic products are not always expensive, especially when it comes to our health,” said Emille in the press conference (29/9) in Jakarta.

In other interview, Emille once said that in order to be healthy, we do not always have to rely on imported products. Local products are also as nourishing as imported ones. For the example, nutrition contents in cheaper local fruit such as soursop and mangosteen is no less than the nutrition in imported fruits.

“We introduce consumers to organic products made by local entrepreneurs to break the myth of organic goods. OGH Expo also helps those who want to start healthier life and know the information about where to get organic products,” said Emille.

Moreover, the aromas come from natural ingredients which have healing effects for our body.
