Hotel Borobudur Jakarta collaborates with Kamasean Matthews on designing Signature Rainbow Guitar Christmas Log Cake. This special edition cake launching (1/12) opened Christmas festive celebration of Hotel Borobudur Jakarta.
“There is a Christmas tradition in a café back in my hometown in France. Every year, that café will collaborates with different artist every year on making a Christmas menu. I want to bring back that experience here in Hotel Borobudur by combining Christmas festivity in a cake and personal touch of a talented Indonesian artist,” said General Manager of Hotel Borobudur Patrick Beck.
Patrick Beck said that Kamasean Matthew’s characteristic represents Christmas spirit of Hotel Borobudur.
“Designing the cake with pastry team of Borobudur Gourmet is very fun. The cake turns out to be very ‘me’; this is Kamasean Matthews in form of cake,” said Kamasean enthusiastically.
Using her rainbow guitar as a main inspiration for this cake, Kamasean explained that the cake represent two sides of her.
“There are two layers on different flavours in this cake. They are different but complete each other,” said Kamasean.
Kamasean said that blueberry sponge roll cake with its fruity sweet taste covered with purple fondant represents the sweet, girly, and bubbly side of her. Meanwhile, opera cake covered with massa Ticino and dark chocolate glaze as the base of this cake represents the bold side of her. As a finishing touch, chocolate that is cut and painted as Kamasean’s signature rainbow guitar is placed on top of the cake resting on the wide dome made of white chocolate.
This cake is sold in two sizes and prices. Big log is priced at Rp. 620.000 nett and small log is priced at Rp. 460.000 nett.
Kamasean Matthew was the youngest contestant in the history of Indonesian Idol. She was also runner-up of seventh season Indonesian Idol. Kamasean Matthews has released two singles named How Could You? in 2013 and If Only in 2015.
